Even though I am more of a Spring/Summer person, there are so many things that I have always loved about Fall. As a child, that meant it was back to school, and with that came new school clothes and school supplies, and I got to see my friends again. But that also meant the end of summer vacation, which meant no more sleeping late, watching TV, and playing outside all day. Now, as an adult, I embrace the calm and the coziness that Fall has to offer.

1. The scenery
Fall is hands down the most beautiful season. If you are not convinced, all you have to do is take a look outside. As the leaves are changing colors, the trees look magical. Whereas in the Spring and the Summer the leaves are green, in the Fall, they range from shades of red, orange, yellow, brown, and magenta.

2. Comfy Clothes
With colder weather comes more comfortable clothes. Whether you are stepping out to run errands during the day or enjoying a cozy night in, chunky sweaters and flannel are essential to your fall wardrobe.
3. Hot Drinks
A great way to enjoy the Fall is to warm up with a hot drink. I have heard a lot about pumpkin spice and apple-salted caramel lattes. I honestly never tried any of them before, but they sound delicious. Hot chocolate and warm apple cider with cinnamon are also great drinks to indulge in when it starts to get cold outside.

4. Halloween
I could not discuss the highlights of the fall without mentioning Halloween, the holiday that children and adults have the most fun. Between costume parties and trick or treating a good time can be had by all.

5. Scary Movies
Throughout October, you will see advertisements for horror flicks because what is Halloween without them? I am not a big fan of scary movies, but the commercials for them let me know that Fall is indeed here.
6. Thanksgiving
This is the time when you see family that you don’t get to see often. And let’s not forget about the abundance of food. Cranberry sauce, candied yams, and sweet potato pie, oh my!
7. Pumpkins are everywhere.
Between pumpkin patches and jack o’ lanterns, you cannot go through the Fall without seeing pumpkins.

8. Fall fashion is impressive.
This is where the fall has a leg up on all the other seasons. From the cardigans, the long tees, sweaters, handbags, coats, and especially the boots, you have to agree that Fall attire is next level. Look at any women’s magazine, and you will notice that the September issue is always the thickest, and that is because of the fashion articles. So cure those “summer is over” blues by indulging in a little retail therapy. And feel free to rip the runway (or the office building lobby or school hallway) with some fly Fall gear.
9. The scents are refreshing.
What is Fall without the aroma of apple cinnamon candles or scented pine cones?
10. Returning T.V. shows.
We now get to see the continuation of the cliffhanger of our favorite shows that left us on edge last season. We also get introduced to some new ones.
11. Comfort food
Now that it is getting colder, there is nothing like a bowl of soup or stew to warm the soul. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, lasagna, and goulash are also just as soothing.
12. Pies
Nothing hits the spot more than some warm apple pie. Sweet potato pie and pumpkin pies are also favorite fall treats.

13. Daylight Savings Time
I love it when the time gets changed back an hour. Who doesn’t enjoy an extra hour of sleep?
14. Peacoats
You cannot deny the versatility and sophistication of a peacoat.
15. Scarves
There is nothing like a stylish scarf to complete your look and keep you warm.
16. The weather
Not too hot or too cold, the fall weather is perfectly balanced.
17. Calm before the holidays
The summer tends to be quite busy because the streets are filled with people enjoying the beautiful weather and outdoor activities. As the weather starts to get colder, things begin to slow down, and we have a period of calmness before the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
18. The sky
The sky is always constantly changing colors in the fall. It can go from gray to blue almost instantly. Sometimes it will take on an orange hue, almost as if it is reflecting the colors of the Autumn leaves.

19. Decorations
I love Fall decorations. The wreaths, pinecones, and metallic foliage add beauty to any front door or mantle.

20. Fall lipstick and nail polish shades
Although I don’t always follow the rules when it comes to seasonal lipstick shades (I wear a burnt orange lipstick year-round), the best colors are in the Fall collections. There is something so elegant about a berry lipstick or a deep wine nail polish.
21. Football Season
I do not watch or have any interest in football, but from what I understand, Fall is when football season begins. There’s usually a sense of excitement in the air when the game comes on (for those who watch it).
There you have it — the many reasons to love Fall.
