It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  The holiday season is in full swing, and it happens to be one of my favorite occasions. I love the decorations, spending time with family, the holiday parties, big dinners, and exchanging gifts with loved ones. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention the Christmas movies and holiday cookies! But I also enjoy the music. It just wouldn’t feel like Christmas without it.

From “Winter Wonderland” to “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” everyone has their favorite Christmas songs that put them in the holiday spirit. If you are like me, you probably started playing Christmas music right after Thanksgiving or even earlier. You have to admit, it does fill the atmosphere with cheer.

Whether you are commuting to work, adding some Christmas decor to your living space, wrapping gifts, baking, or putting the final touches on dinner, playing some holiday tunes will put you in a festive mood.

World Humanitarian Day is a global celebration observed every year on August 19th. It is a day to honor humanitarian personnel who dedicate their lives to helping others, striving to make a difference, and imparting wisdom into the world. Also, on this day, we remember those who have lost their lives while engaging in humanitarian efforts.

This holiday was founded by the United Nations (UN) in 2009 to memorialize the bombing of the UN headquarters in Iraq. A total of 22 people died, which included the organization’s High Commissioner for Human Rights.

To commemorate World Humanitarian Day, here are some quotes from religious leaders,  volunteers, politicians, and other prominent figures that will inspire you to make the world a better place.
